Hello! My name is Mrs. Kate Duncan. I am excited to be returning to Bethlehem Lutheran School and the subjects I love! I have taught for 7 years in many different schools and grades. I have taught 1st grade, 9th grade, and every grade in between. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/Middle Education with an emphasis on General Science Ed. And Environmental Science. I also have a Masters Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom. I greatly enjoy teaching and cannot think of doing anything else.
I grew up on a farm in Illinois. I have always had a love of Science, but love learning and teaching about all subjects. I am married and my husband is in the Air Force. We move often and enjoy seeing new parts of the country and each new adventure.
My Mission Statement
My mission is to create an environment where all students can feel successful and learn skills that will help them in their academic, spiritual, and personal future.Through interesting and engaging activities and lessons, I will help instill in my students a desire to learn and a love of lifelong learning; moreover, I will teach my students to look for the connections of all subjects in the world around them and the grace of God, through Jesus Christ, that is given everyday. I will help my students see their full potential and always strive to do their very best. My goal is to allow students the opportunity to grow as individuals and as productive members of society.
